On 5 April 2014, the International Convoy of Peace for Syria kicked off their humanitarian and peace journey to Syria at the Tehran Peace Museum.  The convoy consists of a group of 14 peace activist from a number of countries including Mairead Maguire, the Nobel peace prize laureate, David Smith, a priest from Australia, Sheik Ali Ahmad, a Syrian spiritual leader and Sam Eskandar, the Lebanese peace campaigner.

During their visit to the museum, the convoy had the opportunity to talk to NGO activists in Iran, as well as war veterans and chemical weapons survivors, Iranian artists and volunteers at the museum.  The convoy left for Syria on Wednesday April 9^th, and will take aid and medicine for the war affected people of Syria.

On 31 March 2014, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Gary Lewis, received an e-Petition from Iranian media celebrities and representatives of the Tehran Peace Museum at the UN Common Premises in Tehran.

 The event was organized so that the e-Petition signed by over 1.500.000 Iranians in support of the release of the abducted border guards can be conveyed, ultimately, to UN Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-Moon.

“On an occasion as important as this, where over 1.5 million Iranians have combined to give us their voices through their computer screens and by SMS, I am honoured to witness this solidarity that has been displayed by the Iranian people in support of the abducted border guards. I promise to deliver the e-Petition to UN Headquarters in New York and – like all Iranians – the UN hopes for a peaceful and successful outcome to the process underway to secure the border guards’ release.” said Mr Gary Lewis of the UN.

On 6 February 2014, five Iranian border guards were kidnapped by a Pakistan based terrorist group called " Jeishol-adl (The Army of Justice)". The following petition has been issued in support of the abducted soldiers and signed by large number of  artists, scholars, athletes, journalist and activists.

"Free our Soldiers :Petition in Support of 5 Abducted Iranian Border Guards

We ask all responsible authorities in the world, the UN and our neighbor country, Pakistan to do their best as a humanitarian action so that the 5 innocent abducted Soldiers would come back home safe."

On Tuesday, 7 January, 2014, a group of British Parliamentarians from the British-Iranian Friendship Group, under the leadership of former foreign minister, Jack Straw, visited the Tehran Peace Museum. Mr. Jeremy Corbyn, a Member of Parliament and chair of “Stop the War Coalition”, also joined the delegation.

During their hour-long visit to the museum, the British-Iranian Friendship Group talked to war victims and chemical weapons survivors who are volunteer guides in the museum. The discussions covered several issues including the problems Iranians currently face regarding sanctions and the consequent shortage of necessary medical supplies.

The delegation offered to help build bridges between British and Iranian NGOs, who are active in the field of peace and countering the trend toward war.

The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon visited the art exhibition set up by TPM on the side line of the 3rd review conference of the Chemical Weapons Convention in the Hague and had a chat with TPM members including survivors of chemical warfare.

Ban Ki-moon who was in the Hague to attend the opening ceremony of the CWC review conference, in his opening speech mentioned his meeting with the gas attacks survivors and that it makes our responsibility heavier to try for abolition of WMD including chemical weapons.

The third review conference of the Chemcial Weapons Cinvention was started on 08 April in the Hague with diplomatic delegationd from 188 member states, over 70 NGOs and international organizations. A delegation from the Tehran Peace Museum and the Society for Chemical Weapons Victims Support - SCWVS - have participated in the conference as amembers of CWC NGO coalition.

A delegation of survivors of chemical warfare and volunteers of Tehran Peace Museum who visited Hiroshima to attend the 67^th anniversary of A-bomb attack as well as several other meetings and events , met with “kazumi Matsui”, Mayor of Hiroshima on 7 August 2012.

During this meeting which was a part of “Messengers of Peace” mission organized by Tehran Peace Museum and the Society for Chemical Weapons Victims Support  - SCWVS -, Mayor Matsui expressed his support to the exchanges between peace museums of Tehran and Hiroshima as well as fruitful peace exchanges between NGOs and citizens of Iran and Japan since 2004.

At the end of this meeting, envoy of the Mayor of Tehran, handed the message of Mayor Qalibaf to Mayor Matsui.

Bagher Qalibaf, Mayor of Tehran paid a visit to Tehran Peace Museum on Monday 30 July 2012.
Following his visit to different sections of the museum, he had a meeting with board members as well as volunteer members of the museum including survivors of chemical weapons attacks who work for TPM as volunteer guides.

In order to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Gernika, the Gernika Peace Museum, the Peace Research Center Gernika Gogoratuz and the Culture House of Gernika, have organized the International Art Project for Peace, "Kids’ Guernica". It is a major mural exhibition painted by children in different parts of the world on canvas measuring 3.50 x 7.80 m, referring to Picasso’s "Guernica".
