On September 21, 2014 on the occasion of International Day of Peace, a ceremony was held in the Tehran Peace Museum. 

In the beginning, the TPM’s message on this occasion was delivered by one of the TPM’s volunteers who is a chemical warfare survivor. This was followed by a speech delivered by Ms. Esther KuischLaroche, the director of UNESCO cluster office in Tehran. The UN Secretary’s General message on this day was read by Mr. Raja’i Moghaddam from United Nations Information Center (UNIC) in Iran. Mr. Khatami, the former Iranian President also addressed the audiences in this ceremony. The event was concluded by Mr. Gary Lewis’s speech, the UN Resident Coordinator in Iran. 
One minute of silence was hold at the end to commemorate the victims of wars and conflicts around the world.
