Commemorating the Atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Esfarayen
On the anniversary of the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Municipal House of Culture of Esfarayen held a drawing competition on a long, continuous fabric with a wish for peace and a world free of weapons of mass destruction.
Huge numbers of teens and children in the City of Esfarayen participated in the competition to express sympathy for the victims of war and to advocate for world peace. The contest was held at 5pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2014 at the auditorium of the Municipal House of Culture. At the end of the competition memorial gifts were awarded to all the participants on behalf of the City Council and the municipality.
