TPM Volunteers Attend the International Youth for Peace Conference in Hiroshima
Three young volunteer members of the Tehran Peace Museum represented the city of Tehran at the International Youth for Peace Conference hosted by the Hiroshima municipality in Japan from the 4th to the 14th of August 2015.
This year is particularly significant in that the conference is one of the commemorative projects taking place during the 70th anniversary memorial of the atomic bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6, 1945.
The Iranian team gave a presentation during the opening ceremony of the conference on the role of youth in promoting a culture of peace in Iran.
The participants of this international conference are youth representatives from 23 cities including Hanoi, San Petersburg, Bangkok, Izmir, Hanover, Volgograd, Verona, Montreal, Wellington, Manchester, as well as Tehran and Hiroshima.
