Report: The “Peace on Earth” peace drawings exhibition of Bulgarian & Iranian children
On Wednesday 9th March 2016 the Tehran Peace Museum in collaboration with the Bulgarian Embassy, and Hadis Educational Centre for Children, help the opening of their joint project of a peace drawing exhibition of Bulgarian and Iranian children’s art works in the Art for Peace Gallery of the Tehran Peace Museum.
The “Peace on Earth” exhibition has been widely seen by spectators from different groups of people such as H.E. Mr. Zhecho Stankov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Mr. Ambassador Christo Polendavok, Ambassador of Bulgaria in Tehran, Mrs. Tzvetelina Borislavova, the Chairperson of Clever Synergies Investment Fund (CSIF) and high profile officials from Bulgaria and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as children and their family members, media representatives, members and active volunteers of the Tehran Peace Museum.
The Bulgarian delegation after visiting the exhibition and a tour of the museum, have had a meeting with a group of members of the museum to get more familiar with other activities of the Tehran Peace Museum and have had a friendly chat with chemical weapons survivors who are working as the volunteer narrators of this museum, to extend the collaboration and organizing more joint projects with the Tehran Peace Museum in the near future.
The exhibition consists of the drawings of Iranian and Bulgarian children (aged between 6 to 18 years old) who have tried to describe their imagination of peace on earth by their art works; and will be open to public on 9-15 March 2016. The artworks of the Bulgarian children have been collected from four different art schools in Bulgaria after a call announced by the Bulgarian Embassy in Tehran and the artworks of the Iranian children has been collected via the Hadis Educational Centre for Children from their talented students.
The exhibition is open to everyone from 10 to 12 and 14 to 17 on the 9th, 12th, 14th and 15th of March 2016. The admission is free.
